About

When award-winning New York-based interior designer Eric Lawrence Winnick established E Lawrence Design, he was bringing to reality his life-long passion and vision for providing what clients really want: high-end living spaces that serve a substantive purpose and tell stories with sophistication.

For over two decades, Eric has delivered on the personal mission he recognized since childhood, when he began exploring his innate passion for art and design within the pages of Architectural Digest.

Without a doubt, what sets Eric apart is his uncanny ability to step outside of himself and focus entirely on his clients, listening closely and connecting with them, and applying his design acumen to capture their unique style.

“Trust the process.”

Eric has always made it a priority to support impactful organizations advancing a greater good in New York and Miami. Currently, he serves on the design and construction committee of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater NY. He also volunteers at the Hetrick Martin Institute, where he serves meals to LGBTQ teens and helps ensure they have a safe space to be themselves. Additionally, Eric has served on the gala committee for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami.

“With three bedrooms, our home was perfect for entertaining with the ability to grow into it with a family. Eric led the complete gut renovation, reconfiguring the space and bringing it back to the glory of 1928 when the building was erected, while incorporating all the modern-day conveniences.”

He did a genius job with the complete gut renovation of our apartment which was built in 2000. He reconfigured the space to enable us to entertain guests with the welcoming and relaxing vibe that defines us.”

“Since Eric completed our project in 2021, our family has used our Wainscott Hamptons home for a summer retreat. Our two kids in high school love spending summers in Wainscot, and our family wanted an easy home that was comfortable, modern and livable. We used a lot of indoor/outdoor fabrics suitable for comfort and ease.”

“Eric was able to work with the best of my existing decor, and guide me towards making my apartment much fresher, updated and more chic with certain new furnishings, fabrics, color schemes and textures, and at the same time retain key essential elements that kept my home looking and feeling like ‘me.’ I was delighted with the results, grateful for Eric's guidance, and found myself smiling each time I returned to my beautiful home.”
